Where practice these books fit into the whole mix

Nowhere. They're stand alones that have nothing to exercise with the Vampire Chronicles or The Mayfair Witches.
The Feast of all Saints, Weep To heaven, and Violin didn't interest me enough to read them. I idea Retainer of the Bones and The Mummy were some of her best piece of work.

Do you know which books are combinations/tie-ins for the vampire AND witch books? Is it just Claret Canticle? Or Merrick? Cheers!

Blackwood Farm is the outset where Rowan and Micheal (TMW series) necktie in with the Vampire Chronicles. I tin can't even call up what Merrick was about. (Yes, it sucked that bad.) Most of the books in the Vampire Chronicles were good, merely there were a few that were absolutely horrible. Some are top notch. Anne Rice is kind of hit and miss with her piece of work. I have both series in their entireity, although I'll probably never read some of them once more.

I really enjoyed the showtime 5, and I read a few more than that gave squeamish backstories (Pandora, Armand). Just my favorites were The Vampire Lestat, and (for some reason) Tale of the Body Thief. Loved those two!
They've but climbed a notch in my eventual re-read list.

Vampire Chronicles, just Rowan & Monica Mayfair are in them. Blackwood Farm is more about Monica Mayfair than Rowan though.

Thanks, might give them a effort when my reading pile has gone downwards slightly

No Merrick is the first. The main graphic symbol is Merrick Mayfair, she is an African-American descendent of the witches.
A Feast of All Saints is very adept. It is well-nigh the small-scale free-black population that lived in New Orleans during slavery. There was a history of the French and Spanish planters taking light skinned black mistresses. Unlike Americans though they freed the woman they were keeping company with and her children. They besides often sent the children to Europe to educate them, and for them to live when they were grown. When the United states of america ended up with New Orleans from the Louisianna Buy they had this group who were gratis, and the people in the grouping had to tread carefully or they would end up as slaves. It was very good, and her voice and writing were much better than in her vampire books.
Cry to Heaven is almost the immature boys with beautiful singing voices whom they castrated and so that they could always sing with aforementioned sound. Information technology is set in 18th century Italy. Information technology is very nighttime and very gripping. It is also written much meliorate and in a clearer voice than the vampire books.
Fifty-fifty though I am a huge vampire fan these two books along with Ramses the Damned/ The Mummy are my favorite Anne Rice books. Of the vampire series The Tale of the Body Thief is my favorite. I liked the relationship betwixt David and Lestat, and there seemed to be an bodily plot, and non a lot of whining.

Very nice
With the overlap between TMW series and the Vampire Chronicles I accept been wondering which of the recent acquisitions I should read beginning. This helps a lot.
Even though I take loved almost everything she has wrote, my favorite Anne Rice book is "Cry to Heaven." It was a total masterpiece of a wait into the foreign, melachony and erotic world of the castrati opera singers.

um, i have a question almost where pandora is. the beginning of that book sounds like a direct sequel to some other book, are you sure it'southward in the right place? likewise, the mummy does tie in at one bespeak, equally they are mentioned in lestat i think (something about marius telling lestat to stay away from the immortals who aren't vampires). also, i know that tmw are in the wrong order, cuz in memnoch, it's going on virtually *spoiler!!!* aaron (sp?) lightner dying.
only looked it up. the actual order is here and it starts near the bottom

Aaron Lightner actually does die in the Tale of the Torso Thief, but since this is a serial near the undead, it really doesn't mean much in the scheme of things.
The Witches books are probably concurrent with the offset vampire books, because Lestat and Aaron are friendly enemies at the get-go. They are both in the modern day in The Tale of the Body Thief.
Pandora is i of the worst books I have e'er tried to read, and I was never able to do it. Information technology is however one of the books called Tales of the New Vampires (not certain of the exact guild, simply all those words are in it). It may even be the offset.

Ok, and so I'm gonna ask it one more than time... is it really necesary to read TVC first, so TMW? Cos I read Interview With the Vampire, just since they're my bro'south books and he is still busy reading Vampire Lestat, I was thinking about buying TMW series and commencement reading those. (with my bro's way of reading its may very well exist a while earlier I get to read the rest of TVC)
And then should I read TMW or wait and finish TVC first?
It actually doesn't matter. Your selection. They just have characters that intersect. I started with TVC, so while waiting for the next i to come up out read the first two TMW, and then read more TVC (including New Tales ones), and the afterwards books where the Vs and Ms are mixed.
